:Start with the obvious. (listen and pay attention to dash errors) :Then isolate. :All an engine needs to start is spark, fuel, and air...in that order. :Is there any way you can verify you have adequate voltage going to/from the alt and the starter? :Can you verify you have fuel going from the pump to the rail? :Check connections at both the PTU (power transistor unit) and CAS (Crank Angle Sensor) make sure they're plugged in and no visual signs of plug damage. :An electrical problem can be a once source culprit or a myriad of inoperable devices including connections. :I hope you have patients because unfortunately that's the only thing that will help you find your prob (aside from the obvious if you are using special testing instruments) :Borrow someone’s ConZult if you can and if all else fails, pop the clutch in 2nd and see if it stays running. :Report back and let us know how you fixed it. >good luckappreciate the info.....I was gonna pull the main engine harness, but then I did a search here and they say you have to pull the engine out!?! Damn!! also, I see from searches I did, people mention trouble codes...but IIRC the ealy Zs arent OBD2, I know the ecu has a diagnotics button? like a self test? is that where you get the codes from?? if I do the test button, how will I see a fault?? sorry Im a newb, think I can borrow the conzult from NIssan? :
